United States Navy Chief Petty Officer Brett Shadle of Elizabethville, PA, died on March 28th, 2013 in a parachute training accident in Arizona. Brett served on SEAL Team 4 and DEVGRU (SEAL Team 6) in his 11+ years in the Teams. Brett is survived by his wife, his 4-year old daughter and 2-year old son.
This Hero WOD hits close to home for us, as Carrie and Dane Henze were good friends with the Shadles and remain close with Brett’s wife. A special tribute will be held for Brett on Friday in Virginia Beach.
