Virtuosity is making the difficult look easy.  That’s what we’re going for with the kipping pull-up.  Watch two people do pull-ups, one with a jerky, violent kip, legs and feet all akimbo, and the other with a smooth, coordinated, consistent-looking kip.  Who do you think is expending more energy?  So the principle that kipping pull-ups are more efficient than strict pull-ups can be expanded to say that a graceful, virtuous kip is more efficient than it’s ugly cousin.
Today we strive for the best-looking kipping pull-up.  We strive for VIRTUOSITY!
