Only one week left to train for the Nasty! For those of you that aren’t aware, a bunch of us are travelling to the mountains of Virginia to complete the first running of the GoRuck Nasty obstacle course on Saturday morning. It’s a six-miler complete with 20+ obstacles, and should be a doozy. This week’s training schedule will thus be a bit different at the end of the week:
– No evening class on Friday
– No class or Open Gym on Saturday
On Monday we’ll get some practice on a couple advanced gymnastic movements: Rope Climbs and Muscle-ups. Understanding the techniques of staying on a rope and getting on top of something that you can get a finger-hold on will almost certainly prove useful at the Nasty!

Skillwork: Work on Rope Climbs, Muscle-ups
Stamina: “Death by Pushups”
– Minute 1, complete 1 Pushup
– Minute 2, complete 2 Pushups
– Minute 3, complete 3 Pushups
– Continue until you cannot complete the required reps within the minute
