I started CrossFit in 2016(ish) because I was looking to reclaim my identity as an athlete after playing sports through high school and college and I was looking for a healthy community to meet friends and neighbors. 

I love coaching because of the diversity of the sport;  it’s exciting to see the range of progress each athlete is making. CrossFit is infinitely scalable, so every athlete’s “win” can look so different, but no less exciting or well-earned.

Advice to someone considering CrossFit:  Remember CrossFit is for everybody (and all bodies!). I love CrossFit because it can shift your mindset on health and fitness from focusing on what your body looks like to what it can accomplish: moving big weights, playing around with gymnastic skills, and pushing the limits on conditioning.
